HR executive Jim Hefti asked C-Suite Analytics to implement Stay Interviews to improve both retention and productivity, and it was at ATS where retention forecasting was born. During one white-board session executives reacted to a suggestion that managers forecast if each new hire would stay a full year, causing one executive to say, “Why don’t we give them a simple forecasting system so they forecast how long every employee will stay? That way they’ll feel accountable for good forecasts and making those forecasts come true. That seems like a pretty good idea.”
